Director’s Console
The Bible
With the “Director’s Console” in hand, you are no longer just a user. The era where anyone can be a filmmaker has dawned. AI is the world’s greatest crew, awaiting your command.
In this bible, you’ll learn the theory, and with the built-in **configurator**, you can easily assemble your flashes of inspiration into a perfect prompt, just like choosing toppings for a pizza. Now, master this power, pour your soul into the prompt, and unleash a masterpiece upon the world.
A Note on Language
This is the official English version of the Director’s Console. For our Japanese-speaking directors, a fully localized Japanese version is also available.
Understanding the Prompt Structure
A great prompt, like a great script, has a clear structure. Each step you’re about to learn is designed to build one perfect, actionable command. First, internalize the final structure.
The Fundamental Syntax
A prompt is a blueprint that communicates “how” you want to shoot “what.”
[Style Clause], [Scene Clause], [Camera Clause], [Atmosphere Clause].
Example:
Cinematic, Post-Apocalyptic style, showing a lone hero in the ruins of a city at dawn, a majestic Crane Up with a 50mm lens, from a low angle to a high angle, creating an atmosphere of hope and awe.
Step 1: Define the Scene
Every great shot begins with intent. Start by using “Step 1” in the Director’s Console below to choose the core idea of your scene.
1.1 How to Use the Director’s Console: Step 1
This tool begins with you freely describing the scene in your mind. Select “Custom (Free Input)” and write specifically “who is doing what, where.” If you’re looking for ideas, select one of the examples from the dropdown and click “Insert Example.” This will automatically populate the camera settings in Step 2 and the scene details in Step 3 with the optimal settings for that scene.
※ Note: Even when using an example, styles are not selected automatically. Choose from the 34 styles explained in Step 3, combining one or more to complete your unique cinematic world!
Step 2: Design the Camera
With the core idea set, it’s time to choose the technology to translate it to the screen. In “Step 2” of the Director’s Console, you will define your “eye”: the lens, the movement, and its nuance.
2.1 Select a Lens (Focal Length)
The lens determines how the world is distorted and the sense of distance to your subject. Choose the ideal focal length from the “Lens” dropdown.
Focal Length | Type | Effect & Impression |
---|---|---|
14–20mm | Ultra-Wide | Dynamic, distorted perspective |
24–35mm | Wide | Balances subject and environment |
50mm | Standard | Natural, close to human vision |
85–135mm | Telephoto | Compresses background, dramatic bokeh |
200mm+ | Super-Tele | Isolates subject, melts background |
2.2 & 2.3 Movement & Modifier
Define how the camera moves and what emotion that movement carries. Combining a “Base Movement” with a “Modifier” clarifies your directorial intent.
Base Movement
- Crane Down / Up
- Dolly In / Out
- Jib Down / Up
- Pan Left / Right
- Tilt Down / Up
- Tracking Shot
- Zoom In / Out
Modifier (Adjective)
- Triumphant
- Emotional
- Soaring
- Majestic
- Epic
- Awe-inspiring
- Slow
- Melancholy
- Distancing
- Suspenseful
- Dramatic
- Ominous
Step 3: Detail the World
Once your intent and technique are decided, you must build the world for the shot. “Step 3” in the Director’s Console is where you define the look, feel, subject, location, and emotional layers of the scene.

Define the visual look and feel. Use the “Select Styles” button in the tool to combine these elements and create your unique visual signature.

Conclusion: The Prompt Blueprint
By integrating all these elements, you arrive at the ultimate blueprint for communicating your complete vision to the AI.
The Formula
[Style Clause], [Scene Clause], [Camera Clause], [Atmosphere Clause].
A Note on the “Atmosphere Clause”:
The final clause, `creating an atmosphere of [Atmosphere]`, acts as a formula. The `[Atmosphere]` placeholder is replaced by your selections. If a selection already contains a phrase like “a sense of,” you should adjust the final sentence for grammatical correctness. For example, instead of `creating an atmosphere of a sense of hope`, the final prompt should read `creating a sense of hope`.
Example in Practice
Intent: To create a grand, emotional scene where the protagonist finds a final glimmer of hope in a desolate world.
- Scene: A scene where the protagonist finds a final glimmer of hope in a desolate world.
- Camera: Lens=`24-35mm (Wide)`, Movement=`Crane Up`, Modifier=`majestic`
- Details: Style=`Cinematic, Post-Apocalyptic`, Subject=`a lone survivor`, Location=`in the ruins of a city at sunrise`, Atmosphere=`a sense of hope, an awe-inspiring atmosphere`
Final Prompt:
Cinematic, Post-Apocalyptic style, showing a lone survivor in the ruins of a city at sunrise, a majestic Crane Up with a 24-35mm lens, from behind the survivor’s shoulder to a high angle revealing the landscape, creating a sense of hope and an awe-inspiring atmosphere.
You’ve learned the theory. Now, create your masterpiece.
The tool to put everything you’ve learned from this bible into practice is here. Translate your vision into the perfect prompt.
